UDHAMPUR, Sept 8: Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) inaugurated Inter Zonal District Level AAG (Boys & Girls) competitions at Delhi Public School, here today.
Director General Youth Services and Sports, Dr Saleem-ul-Rehman was the chief guest while Pro vice chairman of Delhi Public School (DPS) Udhampur, Dr JC Gupta was the guest of honour.
Six zones including Udhampur, Jib, Chenani, Tikri, Panchari and Gholdi are participating in District Level Inter Zonal AAG competitions 2020-2021, which will be concluded on September 16.
On first day of the event, the Kho-Kho and Volleyball matches were played between Zonal level teams.
The chief guest emphasised that the youth must be trained on various social issues like save water, planting trees and hazards associated with the use of plastic. He also took a round of the School campus and was highly impressed with the school infrastructure and sports facilities being provided by DPS Udhampur.
Gupta promised that DPS Udhampur was always ready to host such events in future also.
Managing Director DPS Udhampur, Vivek Gupta and Director Academics, Sucheta Gupta were also present during the inaugural ceremony.
