JAMMU, Oct 30: The Inter Zonal District Level Cricket Competition for U-19 boys was held today at Parade Ground Jammu, organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports, District Jammu. The tournament provided a platform for young cricketers to showcase their talent and compete for district-level glory.
Experienced officials including Sandeepan Sharma, Satpal Singh, Jagtar Singh, Vikram Dogra, Satika Sharma, Jagandeep Singh, Rajesh Choudhary, Jatinder Singh, Ajay Koul and Madan Mohan ensured smooth conduct of matches.
Approximately 64 players from various zones of District Jammu participated in today’s semifinals. In the first semifinal, Zone Gandhi Nagar defeated Zone Miran Sahib by 45 runs. Batting first, Gandhi Nagar scored 163/8 in 20 overs, with Sayyam Vasu top-scoring with 36 runs. Miran Sahib, in reply, were all-out for 118 in 14.1 overs, with Gurkeerat scoring 20. Ritik and Anubhav took 3 wickets each, while Harjinder Singh claimed 2 wickets for Gandhi Nagar. The result of the second semifinal between Zone Jammu and Zone Marh will be announced later.
