REASI, May 22: The Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS), Reasi, conducted Inter-Zonal District Level U-14 and U-17 Girls Competitions at General Zorawar Singh Stadium, Reasi, witnessing participation from over 300 athletes across five zones.
In Kabaddi, Zone Reasi defeated Zone Pouni by 7 points (U-14), while Zone Pouni beat Zone Arnas by 5 points (U-17). In Volleyball, Zone Pouni clinched both U14 and U17 titles, each with 2-1 victories over Zone Reasi.
In Yoga (U-14), Nargis Bano (Arnas) secured 1st place. Lakshita Sharma (Reasi) topped U-17. In Badminton U-14 singles, Maheen Mir (Reasi) beat Gudiya Sharma (Pouni) by 2-0. In doubles, Priya Devi & Aliya Bano (Arnas) won. U-17 singles went to Vishva Devi (Reasi), while doubles were claimed by Vironika & Ananya (Reasi).
Chief Guest CEO Deepak Gupta and DYSSO Tarsem Singh praised the girls’ performances and encouraged continued participation in sports.
