REASI, Sept 11: 2-days District Level Inter-Zonal Tournament in the disciplines of kabaddi, kho-kho and volleyball for Under-19 boys and girls concluded at Government High School Kambal Danga, here today.
The tournament in which five zones drawn from Reasi participated was held under the overall supervision of Dr Swaran Singh Chib, District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Reasi.
Prof Ajit Angral, Principal Government degree College Reasi was the chief guest on the occasion, who highlighted the role of Physical Education for the young generation, calling upon them to play the game in the true sporting spirit.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Rajesh Baru, Naib Tehsildar Reasi, MM Khajuria, Principal GBHSS Reasi, Romail Singh, Headmaster GHS Kambal Danga, besides Ashok Kumar, Pradeep Nag, Romesh Chander and Ashoka Kumari.
Earlier, in kho-kho Under-19 girls, Arnas zone defeated Reasi in the final, while in kabaddi Under-19 girls Pouni drubbed Reasi in the title clash.
Meanwhile, in kho-kho Under-19 boys, Reasi outplayed Arnas in the summit clash, while in volleyball Under-19 boys, Mahore thrashed Reasi in the final and in kabaddi Arnas edged past Pouni to claim the title.
