POONCH, May 14: Annual inter-zonal competitions of girls’ under-14 and under-17 categories in the team disciplines of Volleyball, Kabaddi and Kho-Kho concluded at Sports Stadium, here under the banner of Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS).
In Volleyball, Harni Zone won both under-14 and under-17 titles. While in under-14 Harni Zone defeated their counterparts form Surankote Zone and in under-17 age group, Harni trounced Bufflaiz Zone.
Similarly, in Kabaddi, Nangali Zone took away both the titles. In under-14 age group, Nangali defeated Kanuyion Zone whereas in under-17 final, Nangali defeated Balakote Zone.
The Kho-Kho under-14 final won by Poonch Zone beating Kanuyion Zone.
The competition conducted under the supervision of Mohd Kasam, Narinder Singh, Surinder Singh, Jasbir Kour, Virta Devi, Sarla Bakshi (all ZPEOs). Also present were Vijay Kumar (PEM), Rajinder Singh Toofan (PET), Jasmeet Kour (PET), Jasbir Kour, Gurdeep Kour, Nnirmal Kour, Ruchika Sharma and Parvaiz Malik.
