JAMMU, Sept 18: Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS), District Jammu, concluded the Inter-Zonal District Level Competitions for U-19 boys and AAG boys at various venues across Jammu.
The competitions were organized under the patronage of Director General Youth Services and Sports J&K, Anuradha Gupta under the guidance of Joint Director, Vinakshi Koul, Deputy Director Central, Jetinder Mishra and overall supervision of DYSSO Jammu, Sukhdev Raj Sharma.
In wrestling under-14 boys, the first positions were secured by Arun Malgotra of Chowki Choura in 35 kg, Udhay Singh of Akhnoor in 38 kg, Chintu Kumar of RS Pura in 41 kg, Aarav Sharma of Akhnoor in 44 kg, Arun Singh of Bhalwal in 48 kg, Vishiv Choudhary in 52 kg, Shivansh Prashar of Akhnoor in 57 kg, Deepak Changotra of Bishnah in 62 kg, Prithvi Raj of Akhnoor in 68 kg and Honey Singh of Marh in 75 kg category.
In wrestling under-17 boys, the top spots went to Amit of Akhnoor in 45 kg, Jaiveer of Akhnoor in 48 kg, Vansh Sharma of Chowki Choura in 51 kg, Mohit of Bhalwal in 55 kg, Raman of Satwari in 60 kg and Dalbir of Akhnoor in 65 kg. In wrestling under-19 boys, Daljeet Singh of Khour in 57 kg, Nitin Mangotra of RS Pura in 61 kg, Varun Singh of Khour in 65 kg, Dishan Singh Chib of Bhalwal in 70 kg, Mohit Kumar of Bhalwal in 74 kg and Bishaish Chib of Bhalwal in 79 kg emerged winners.
In yoga under-19 boys, the first place was bagged by Surinder Rajput of Jammu and 2nd by Shaurya Bandral of Bhalwal.
