REASI, May 23: Department of Youth Services & Sports Reasi organized Inter Zonal District Level U-14 and U-17 girls’ competition in the discipline of wrestling, Yoga, Chess, Carrom, Rope Skipping, Badminton, Kho-Kho and Kabaddi.
District Officer, Youth Services & Sports (YSS) Reasi, Tarsem Singh was the chief guest on the occasion. Around 500 girls from different zones of district Reasi viz. Zone Arnas, Zone Chassana, Zone Pouni, Zone Mahore and Zone Reasi participated in the competitions.
In Yoga U-14, Sheraz Choudhary (Reasi) stood first, Divyanshi Thakur (Arnas) 2nd and Diksha Manhas (Chassana) 3rd while in skipping U-14, Sameera bagged 1st position, Lakshita (Pouni) 2nd and Rashmi (Reasi) 3rd, and in U-17, Anjali (Pouni) got 1st place, Smriti Katoch (Reasi) 2nd and Nancy Langeh (Reasi) 3rd.
Priksha (Reasi) beat Khushi (Pouni) in Chess U-14 while in U-17 Simran (Reasi) won the final. In Badminton U-14 Girls (Singles), Aradhya (Reasi) beat Samreena (Mahore) whereas in U-14 Girls (Double), Sohani Sharma & Radha Devi (Zone Pouni) defeated Divya Lakhotra and Yasmeen Jameel (Reasi) won the final in U-17 (Singles).
In Badminton U-17 Girls (Singles), Nisha (Reasi) thrashed Rafia Malika (Mahore) while in Doubles, Akshita Sharma and Suniti Sharma (Pouni) beat Saima Akther & Rifat Khosar (Reasi).
In Wrestling U-17, Rajni Devi (Arnas) won final bout in 43 kg weight category, Ram Payari (Arnas) won in 46 kg, Jyoti Devi (Arnas) in 49 kg, Sneha Devi (Pouni) in 53 kg and Mahi Rajput (Pouni) in 57 kg. In U-14, Rakshita Thakur (Pouni) won in 46 category and Suhani Devi (Pouni) won in 50 kg category.
In Kabaddi U-14, Zone Pouni beat Zone Reasi by 22-20 while in U-17, Zone Arnas defeated Zone Mahore by 25-12.
In Kho- Kho U-14, Zone Reasi defeated Zone Pouni by 8-6 whereas in U-17, Zone Chassana beat Zone Pouni by 12-11.
