JAMMU, Mar 7: The five-day Interstate Youth Exchange Program (ISYEP), organized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India, concluded at the J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, here today. The event marked a significant milestone in promoting youth empowerment and national integration through cultural exchange.
The valedictory ceremony was graced by Harvinder Kaur, Secretary of J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, as the chief guest. The guests of honours were Aijaz Kaiser, Joint Director, Tourism J&K, Ranjeet Kalra, Sports Administrator & Faculty Member, University of Jammu and Javed Rahi.
The cultural exchange showcased Haryana’s rich traditions through vibrant folk dances and songs, while local artists from Jammu & Kashmir presented their traditional folk music. Participants from Haryana shared their experiences, expressing gratitude to MY Bharat – Nehru Yuva Kendra Jammu and the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports for the opportunity to explore India’s diversity.
Harvinder Kaur praised the participants’ performances, stressing the importance of cultural exchanges in promoting unity. Ranjeet Kalra emphasized how such programs bridge cultural gaps, while Aijaz Kaiser highlighted their role in national integration.
The event was coordinated by Anmol Bajaj and volunteers including Rakshant Balotra, Rahul Attri, Divyansh and Sahaj under the supervision of Nitin Hangloo.
