RAJOURI, Nov 15: The first-ever Inter-School Volleyball Tournament culminated with great enthusiasm in Sunderbani, featuring participation from eight major schools. The two-day event aimed to promote sportsmanship, teamwork and healthy competition among the region’s youth.
The tournament began with a formal Opening Ceremony, including the National Anthem and a motivational address by Col Balbir Jha, Chairman KMAS, in the presence of Neeru Sharma, Principal KMAS. The initial league matches showcased thrilling rallies and exceptional talent as teams competed for a spot in the finals.
The grand final today saw New Public School, Sunderbani, defeating KMAS Sunderbani in a closely contested match to lift the Championship trophy. During the prize distribution ceremony, Col Balbir Jha felicitated winners and participants, emphasizing the role of sports in discipline, character building, and holistic student development. The tournament concluded successfully, reinforcing Sunderbani’s commitment to nurturing young sporting talent.
