Inter-school Football C’ship commences at BOMIS

JAMMU, Dec 1: The inter-school Football Championship Season-1 commenced at Birla Open Minds International School (BOMIS), Jammu with five action packed matches between different city schools, here today.
The championship started with the welcome address by the students, followed by enthralling musical and dance performances. The occasion was graced by Vijay Puri (Mentor, Jammu Sahodaya and Academic Director Shemford Futuristic School, Jammu) and distinguished guest Kritika Sharma (Entrepreneur, Certified Fitness Expert and Nutritionist and Indian Classical Dancer) .
Principal of the School, Aparana Kohli welcomed the guests, the participant teams, coaches and referees.
After the introduction of the teams by the School Principal, she also motivated and encouraged them to play the game with sportsmanship. The chief guest also addressed the players and inspired them to show their talent in the true spirit of sportsmanship.
The first match was won by GD Goenka School, while 2nd match was played between Jammu Sanskriti and Spring Dales, wherein Jammu Sanskriti won the match and the third match was played between Shaurya International and APS Kaluchak which was APS Kaluchak, besides the fourth match was played between IDRS and IDPS wherein IDPS emerged winners in boys category.
In girls category, the match was also won by the GD Goenka School, while 2nd match was played between Jammu Sanskriti & Spring Dales, wherein IDRS won the match.
The day was a great experience in the life of the students. In short, the championship Day-1 was a grand success by the combined efforts of students, teachers and support staff.
