Inter-school district level sports trials enter on Day-2

JAMMU, July 22: The Inter-School District Level Selection Trials and Competitions for All Age Groups (AAG) in Boxing, Fencing, Judo, Karate, Weight Lifting and Wushu entered their second day at MA Stadium here organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports, District Jammu. The trials aim to identify talented young athletes for participation in upcoming competitions.
In Fencing (Girls), Aekas Gupta secured 1st place, followed by Shrija Bali (2nd), Aarnaa Gaur (3rd), and Janeil Mattoo (4th). In Fencing (Boys), Janmay Gupta took the 1st position, with Sovik Rajput (2nd), Hridhaan Grover (3rd) and Rayaan Verma (4th).
In Judo U-14 Boys, the Below 25 Kg category was won by Vasudev Singh. Udhay Singh claimed the Below 30 Kg title, while Mohd Imran took 1st in Below 35 Kg. Anees Choudhary stood out in the Below 40 Kg class. Ritvik Sharma won Below 45 Kg, Keshav Singh Wazir led in Below 50 Kg, and Mohd Sulemaan emerged victorious in the Above 50 Kg category.
In Judo U-17 Boys, Sachin Kumar won the Below 40 Kg group. Varun Thapa claimed 1st place in Below 45 Kg, followed by Amrit Gupta in Below 50 Kg, Daksh Chibber in Below 55 Kg, and Daksh Chib in Below 60 Kg. Shaurya Dev Singh won Below 66 Kg, while Aham Parihar also secured 1st in another Below 66 Kg round.
The events were efficiently conducted by departmental experts and technical officials, ensuring fair and smooth trials throughout the day.
