JAMMU, Oct 17: Three days long Inter-College Sports Meet of Dogra Group of colleges concluded today with a Valedictory function hosted by Dogra Law College and attended by many sports enthusiast.
Various sports events were organized during the Meet which included Volleyball, Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Tug-of- War, Chess, Badminton, Lemon Spoon Race, Thread Needle Race, 50 mtr Race, 100 mtr Race and 200 mtr Race.
Around 200 students from the three colleges of Dogra Educational Trust namely Dogra Law College, Dogra Degree College and Dogra College of Education showcased their intrinsic talents with great zeal and zest and on the final day were felicitated for their achievements with medals and certificates by the Chairman, Dogra Educational Trust.
Th. Gulchain Singh Charak, Chairman, Dogra Educational Trust was the chief guest on the valedictory function.
While glorifying the efforts of the participants Kr. Samar Dev Singh Charak, Secretary, Dogra Educational Trust lauded their hard work and team spirit.
TheVolleyball Trophy was won by Dogra Law College whose Captain was Abhishek Jasrotia, while the Kabbadi title went to Dogra Degree College, captained by Kamal; Kho-Kho (Women) title was won by Dogra College of Education, captained by Hittu; Tug-of-War (women) won by Dogra Law College captained by Primal Raj, Tug of War (men) won by Dogra Law College captained by Arun Kotwal.
Chess title went to Dogra College of Education and Badminton (women) event was also bagged by Dogra College of Education, while the titles in major and minor athletic events were bagged by Dogra Law College.
Earlier, Dr. Komila Aggarwal of Dogra Law College presented welcome address, while the function concluded with a vote of thanks by Anuradha Sharma, Incharge Sports Committee of Dogra College of Education.
