RAJOURI, Sept 24: The Literary and Cultural Committee in collaboration with the Department of Political Science of Government PG College organized an inter-college quiz cum poster making competition, here today.
Principal of the College Prof (Dr.) Javaid Ahmed Qazi was chief guest on the occasion, whereas Prof Mohd Iqbal Raina, convener Cultural and Literary Committee of the College coordinated the programme.
In the competition, nine colleges from the Rajouri district participated including Govt PG College Rajouri, GDC Darhal, GDC Thannamandi, GDC Doongi, GDC Koteranka, GDC Budhal, GDC Sunderbani, GDC Nowshera and GDC Kalakote.
Iram Gafoor of GDC Rajouri bagged 1st position, whereas Sania Ajaz of GDC Budhal and Mohd Asif of GDC Doongi stood 2nd and 3rd respectively in this quiz competition.
Prof. Amit Bhalla Head Department of Political Science coordinated the quiz competition, whereas Dr Masood Ahmed from Department of Geology rendered his technical support.
In the poster competition Divya Manhas of GDC Koteranka won 1st prize, whereas Manpreet Kour of GDC Nowshera and Shahnaz Akhter of GDC Budhal bagged 2nd and 3rd prizes respectively.
Dr. Shamim Akhter HoD Zoology, Dr. Mohd Saleem Wani Department of English and Dr. Mohd Ashaq Malik from Department of Botany were judges of the poster competition. Prof. Iqbal Raina presented the formal vote of thanks.
