HP drubs J&K in Vijay Merchant Trophy

JAMMU, Dec 18: Himachal Pradesh defeated Jammu and Kashmir by an innings and 13 runs in a match of the North Zone Vijay Merchant Under-16 Boys Cricket Tournament at Cricket Stadium, Dharamsala in Himachal Pradesh.
Earlier, resuming from an overnight score of 51/1 J&K managed to score 208 runs in the second innings after following on to lose the match by an innings and 13 runs. Musaif top scored with 79 runs, while skipper Mohammad Manzir contributed 40 runs to the total. Dhruv V Gupta and Affan Bin Ayub contributed 30 and 15 runs respectively. From Himachal, Sahil M Kumar took 4 wickets, while Himanshu and Rahul M Kumar took 2 wickets each. Rohan R Kumar claimed one wicket.
