Handoo appointed to NADA’s Anti-Doping Disciplinary Panel

JAMMU, June 12: In a significant achievement, Dronacharya Awardee and Chief Wushu Coach of India, Kuldeep Handoo, has been appointed as a member of the Anti-Doping Disciplinary Panel (ADDP) of the National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA) for a period of two years.
Handoo, who also serves as a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) in J&K Police, has had a distinguished career both as a player and coach, representing India on various international platforms. He is the only coach from Jammu and Kashmir to receive the prestigious Dronacharya Award from the Government of India.
According to the official order, Handoo’s appointment is effective from May 29, 2025 and will continue for two years or until the implementation of the National Anti-Doping Act, 2022-whichever is earlier.
The ADDP is empowered to hear and resolve matters related to anti-doping rule violations under the National Anti-Doping Rules, 2021. Panel members receive an honorarium of Rs 5,000 per sitting along with travel and conveyance allowances as per Government norms.
Handoo is also a recipient of the State Award, Sher-e-Kashmir Award and the Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta Khel Rattan Award. Under his leadership, India has secured medals in both Asian and World Wushu Championships, bringing pride to the nation and Jammu and Kashmir.
