Gujarat Club enters QF in Gufran T20

DODA, June 8: Defeating formidable Zakir Cricket Club by 6 wickets, Gujarat Cricket Club entered the quarterfinals of the ongoing All India 8th Gufran Memorial Cricket Tournament, being organized by Young Star Cricket Club Doda at Sports Stadium, here.
Put into bat, Zakir Club scored 149 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. Abid Nabi scored fabulous 85 runs, while Aamir contributed 12 runs to the total. For Gujarat Club, Junaid and Ghulam Belim shared 2 wickets each.
Gujarat Club chased the target in 16.4 overs by losing 4 wickets, thus won the match by 6 wickets. Imran played a power-packed innings of 45 runs in 22 balls which included 2 sixes and 2 fours, while Aziz contributed 39 runs to the total. Abid Nabi took 2 wickets, while Salman claimed one. Imran was adjudged man of the match for his brilliant display.
Farooq Ahmed Khan, District Development Commissioner, Doda, was the chief guest on the valedictory function and presented man of the match award on the occasion.
The match was officiated by Sanjay Singh, Subhash Mathur and Shahid Bashir Pampoori.
