JAMMU, Jan 23: Green Field Cricket Academy scored 141 runs in their first innings of Kuldip Sharma Memorial 2-Day Cricket Tournament, while Country Cricket Academy were 20/1 at the draw of stumps on day-1 at Gharota, near here today.
Winning the toss and batting first, Green Field Academy scored 141 runs in their first innings in 43 overs. Tayab Farooq and Ayush Kumar contributed 34 and 33 runs to the total respectively. Aryan Chopra and Rahul Choudhary also chipped in with 20 and 17 runs respectively. For Country Cricket Academy, Marutwan and Kanav were the most successful bowlers, who calimed 4 wickets each by bowling 19 and 8 overs respectively, while Arastu and Ashwin claimed 1 wicket each.
In reply, Country Cricket Academy were 20/1 at the draw of stumps today. Surya was batting on 10 runs, while Satyam was unbeaten on 4. Young opener Swastik Sharma was the only wicket to fall at his individual score of 2 runs.
The Tournament is being held under the overall supervision of Vivek Sharma, former Ranji Trophy player and Director Country Cricket Academy.
