KATHUA, Dec 16: Gitesh Thakur exhibited his talent during a Hockey match in the ongoing 38th Nehru Sub-junior category and clinched Upcoming Player Award, played at Shivaji Stadium New Delhi.
The match was played between Ritu Rani Hockey Academy Patiala and Hiranagar team which was won by the former but splendid performance by Gitesh Thakur won the hearts of the audience who secured the upcoming player award for his superb performance.
President of Shakti Punj NGO Hiranagar, Kuljeet Singh appealed to Union Minister, Dr Jitendra Singh for providing a coach and Astroturf at Hiranagar, so that the young budding players exhibit their talent at national level. The land for which has been proposed opposite the Municipal Committee Hiranagar by the Government.
