UDHAMPUR, Apr 24: GHS Chiryai drubbed Sainik Cooperative High School Tikri in straight sets (2-0) in the summit clash to win the Volleyball title trophy in the ongoing Zonal Level Inter-School Tournament of Tikri Zone, here today.
The tournament is being organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports under the supervision of Veer Ji Bhat, ZPEO Tikri.
The Tournament is being held in the disciplines of Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Volleyball, Wrestling and Yoga.
Over 300 boys from Govt / Private Institutions took part in the Tournament.
In Kabaddi under-14 boys final, New Public HS Kamal Danga defeated GHS Hartaryan by 11 points (20- 9).
Earlier, New Public HS Kambal Danga defeated GHS Chiryai by 16 points (26-10); GHS Hartaryan got the better of Sanik Cooperative High School Tikri by 6 points (17-10); GMS Tikri prevailed over GHS Mand by 5 points (10-5) and GMS Mora Gujjaran defeated GHS Seen Brahamana by 9 points (24-15).
In Volleyball Under-14 boys, GHS Chiryai defeated Sanik Cooperative HS Tikri by 2 straight sets (25-15, 25-17), while in Volleyball Under-17 boys final, GHS Chiryai defeated GHS Seen Brahmana by (2-0) in straight sets.
In Kho-Kho Under-14 final, GHS Jib defeated Swarn Model Academy Tikri by 8 points.
Earlier, Swarn Model Academy trounced Sanik Cooperative HS Tikri by 4 points; RK Public School Seen Brahamana outplayed GMS Mora Gujjaran by 6 points; Swarn Model Academy outclassed GHS Seen Brahamana by 1 point and GHS Jib defeated RK Public School by 11 points.
In Kho-Kho Under-17 final, GHS Kotli Jijjan defeated GHS JIb by 3-2 points.
Earlier, GHS Kotli Jijjan drubbed GHSS Tikri by 13-2 points and GHS Jib trounced Sainik Cooperative High School Tikri by 8-0 points.
The matches were officiated by Kuldeep Kumar, Neelam Kumari, Raj Kumar, Jagdish Kumar, Kafeel Ahmed, Ajay Kumar, Anita Kumari, Mohd Zubair and Dharminder Singh.
