RAJOURI, Aug 7: Government Degree College (GDC) Rajouri, under its Cultural and Literary Committee in collaboration with the NSS Unit, organized Inter-College Essay Writing and Painting Competitions, which saw enthusiastic participation from students across various colleges of Rajouri district. The programme began with a welcome address by Dr. Zakir Kalis, Convener, Cultural and Literary Committee, who highlighted the importance of fostering creativity and critical thinking among students.
A distinguished panel of jury members including Prof. Anies Chowdhary (GDC Rajouri), Prof. Rumy Dar (GDC Thannamandi), Prof. Anayat Ullah Khan (GDC Kotranka), Prof. Rajat Sharma (GDC Sunderbani), Prof. Tarun Sharma (GDC Nowshera), and Prof. Shahbaz Mirza (GDC Kalakote) evaluated the entries.
In essay writing, Vanshika (GDC Rajouri) won first prize, followed by Amreen Qureshi (GDC Thannamandi) and Jugmeet Kour (GDC Nowshera). In Painting, Aman Raina (GDC Sunderbani) secured First Prize, while second and third places went to participants from GDC Nowshera and GDC Kalakote, respectively. Prof. Zamir Ahmed Mirza, Principal, lauded the participants for their performance and the organizing team for a successful event.
