JAMMU, Feb 6: Goenkans conducted ‘The British Council’s Sustainable Development Goals Exhibition cum Activity’ in the school premises, here today.
Students from classes VI to IX designed various campaign posters highlighting various goals with specific targets, which aim to achieve three things by the year, which are – to 2030,-tackle extreme poverty, fight inequality and injustice.
The students offered their ideas and suggestions through these posters and highlighted their importance. An Exhibition was also held in the school after the poster designing activity. Students displayed their posters and a campaign was also carried out within the school premises to highlight the need of the present hour.
The Principal of the school, Dr RP Singh appreciated the efforts of the students and threw light on the importance of these goals by having a general interaction with the students. The entire activity was conducted under the guidance of Ritu Dhar, Diwakar and the Social Science Department.
This activity created a platform for the students to express their ideas, their various goals and to exhibit their creativity.
