JAMMU, May 27: To bring students close to the nature and to their roots, GD Goenka Public School today installed specially designed hut using the traditional material.
The traditional material will keep the hut cool in summers and warm in winter. The students and teachers of Fine and Arts Department will paint the walls with Warli art.
A hawan was organised to inaugurate the hut where the entire student council was present along with teachers.
Principal Jyoti Asija said that pottery would really benefit the students and will certainly take them away from the world of internet and computers.
After getting trained, the first batch of the students started making earthen pots, diyas, bird feeders, piggy banks, etc.
