JAMMU, Aug 16: On the Independence Day, the administration felicitated Yuva Sahitya Akademi Awardee Prof Ganga Sharma for her consistent efforts towards promotion of Dogri language.
Serving as Assistant Professor in Dogri at Government Degree College Sunderbani and member of committee framed by the Higher Education Department for the implementation of National Education Policy (NEP), Prof Ganga Sharma was felicitated for her contribution in the field of teaching and Dogri literature.
She was felicitated in a function organised by Hiranagar Administration to commemorate 76th Independence Day as a part of Aazadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. SDM Hiranagar Rakesh Sharma, Tehsildar Hiranagar Rahul Basotra and SDPO Pankaj Sudan were among the dignitaries present on the occasion. While receiving award, she was accompanied by her father Raj Kumar, a retired educationist and himself a state, national and international level best teacher awardee.
