AKHNOOR, June 24: Friends Cricket Club Jammu defeated Patoli Badshahs by 7 wickets in a high scoring game of the ongoing 5th Pawan Memorial T20 Cricket Tournament, being organized by Singh Cricket Club, Akhnoor at Government Higher Secondary School Ground, here.
Earlier, batting first, Patoli Badshahs scored a decent total of 177 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. Kapil was the top scorer with 59 runs, while Mahavir, Chotu and Pintu contributed 38, 35 and 22 runs to the total respectively. For Friends Club, Vikram, Raman and Sahil scalped 2 wickets each, while Ajay claimed one.
In reply, Friends Club, rode on a splendid knock of 78 runs, studded with 12 fours and 4 sixes by Shimpu chased the target in 16.1 overs by losing 3 wickets, thus won the match by 7 wickets. Sahil, Sanju and Ashwani contributed 28, 27 and 18 runs to the total respectively.. For Patoli Badshahs, Pintu claimed 2 wickets, while Pankaj bagged one.
The match was officiated by Vikas Bali and Joginder Mangotra as umpires, while Manik Sharma was the scorer.
