Police Martyr Memorial Cricket Tournament

BUDGAM, Oct 13: Force Green beat Waterhail XI by 88 runs while Narbal XI defeated Beerwah XI by 80 runs in the ongoing Police Martyr Memorial Cricket Tournament played at Shaheed Aga Syed Mehdi Memorial Sports Stadium, here today.
The tournament is being organised by J&K Police under Civic Action Programme.
Batting first Green Force made 201 by losing only three wickets in stipulated 20 overs. Imtiyaz Hussain was top scorer who made a knock of 101 runs for his team whereas the opponent team (Waterhail XI) bundled out at 113 runs. Imtiyaz Hussain was declared as Man of the Match for his outstanding performance with bat.
The 2nd match was played between Beerwah XI and Narbal XI wherein Narbal XI won the match by 80 runs.
Batting first, Narbal XI scored 138 runs by losing 7 wickets wherein Kamran was top scorer with 50 runs. Chasing the target, Beerwah XI bundled out at just 58 runs. For Narbal XI, Muzafar got 5 wickets and was declared as Man of the Match.
Meanwhile, Extreme Blasters trounced Malshahibagh Cricket Club by 71 runs while Hathbura XI beat Emerging XI Latiwaza by 61 runs in the ongoing Martyr Altaf Memorial T-20 Police Premier Cricket League, being organised by Ganderbal Police at Qamaria Stadium.
The first match was played between Malshahibagh Cricket Club and Extreme Blasters wherein later defeated the former by 71 runs. Aijaz Ahmad clinched five wickets and was declared as Man of the Match for his outstanding performance with ball whereas in another match, Hathbura XI won the match by 61 runs from Emerging XI Latiwaza. Aadil was declared as Man of the Match for playing a knock of 60 runs in 38 balls.
