UDHAMPUR, Oct 13: In the Civic Action Cricket Tournament organised under the Civic Action Programme 2025 by IRP 24th Battalion and DYSSO Udhampur, two gripping matches were played at Subash Stadium, here today.
In the first contest, Young Education Club posted 177 runs, powered by Parshotam Singh (62) and Ashtam Malik (77). Sanjeev starred with the ball, claiming five wickets, supported by Mohinder, Parshotam, Pawandeep, Rajeev, each taking one wicket, to secure a 75-run victory over Revenue Young Club, who could only muster 102.
In the second match, the Youth Services & Sports (YSS) Team scored 108 batting first and bowled out Doctors Association for 73. Jatin grabbed 4 wickets, Karun 2 wickets, and Ankush, Deepak, Kapil contributed one each to seal the win.
Chief guests Prem Singh, ADC Udhampur and SSP IRP 24th Battalion Mohd Aslam Choudhary, along with Addl. SP Mohd Iftikhar Choudhary and DYSSO Romesh Chander Mishra, praised organizers and participants for their spirit and commitment.
