Edu institutions celebrate Independence Day with patriotic fervour

JAMMU, Aug 14: Different educational institutions celebrated 76th Independence Day in their premises a day before Independence Day, here today.
The celebrations were held in a mesmerizing way in the campus of The Shri Ram Universal School, Jammu to make the event memorable. The students along with the chief guest of the event, Rajni Gupta, the Managing Director of the School, Col V K Sharma (Retd), Principal, faculty members, administration and supporting staff members organised a pride rally within the School campus wherein the children held the tricolour high and resorted to sloganeering in praise of our great Nation. The campus was filled with the aura of sheer patriotism.
The event started with the lighting of the lamp and invoking the blessings of the Almighty. Headmistress, Shivani Vaid Sharma welcomed the chief guest, Principal and all present in the Mini Auditorium and advised the children to be grateful for being born in a free Nation.
Kotwal National Institute of Teaching (KNIT) celebrated the Day in the School premises with great enthusiasm and patriotism under the banner of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahastav’. A Tiranga rally was organised by the staff and students around the School by chanting slogans, while a cultural programme consisting of patriotic songs, speeches and skits were also staged during the celebration.
Prof JL Kotwal, Director of the School in his keynote underlined the need of the hour to make India a corruption free, poverty free and a literate country so that it achieves the Prime Minister’s great ambition of making India a superpower in every field.
Shiv Public Higher Secondary School Sari Rakwalan Ghou Manhasan Road Jammu celebrated Independence Day with pomp and show. On this occasion various patriotic and cultural items were performed to inculcate patriotism among the students.
The Flags were distributed among the students under the “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign. Chairman BS Salaria and Principal Mehak Manhas delivered speeches by highlighting the importance of the Day. At the last sweets were distributed among the teachers, students and staff members of the School.
Luthra Public School, Talab Tillo, Jammu also celebrated 76th Independence Day by hoisting National Flag by chairman Rajeev Luthra and speech delivered by Principal Sanjeev Luthra.
Teachers and students sang patriotic songs. Dance item on patriotic songs were also present by students.
