JAMMU, May 9: The Department of Youth Services & Sports, Zone Jammu organized an Inter-School Zonal Level Tournament in the different disciplines here today.
The Kho-Kho and Kabaddi U-14 & U-17 Boys matches were held at GGHSS Bakshi Nagar, while Volleyball U-14 & U-17 Boys were played at GBHSS Bakshi Nagar, Jammu.
The Football matches of U-14 (Boys) and Basketball U-14, U-17 (Boys) played at Parade Ground, Jammu. Chess U-14 & U-17 Boys matches were played at Shastri Memorial Hr. Sec. School, Yoga U-14 & U-17 at GMS Patoli & Handball U-14 Boys & Girls matches held at Sanatan Dharam High School Rehari under the overall Supervision of Zonal Physical Education Officer Jammu, Harvinder Kour.
All the fields’ staff of Zone Jammu were present during the tournament. Maximum players from different schools of (Govt. & Private) zone Jammu participated in the competition. In the Kho-Kho final Match U-14 Girls St Xavier Convent School declared as winner & Hermann Gmeiner School was runner up. In Kabaddi final match (U-14) Girls Jagriti Mission declared winner & GHS Toph Sherkhania was the Runner Up.
