Doda, Jammu DYSSOs flag-off trekkers for expedition

DODA/JAMMU, Dec 6: District Youth Services and Sports Officers Doda and Jammu flagged off trekking expeditions from their respective districts today.
A 10 days Inter-Zonal District level trekking camp of girls under-14, 17 and 19 years, organized by DYSSO Doda as per the directions of Director YS&S J&K, Gazanfar Ali which was flagged off by DYSSO Doda, Jaffar Haider Sheikh from the premises of DYSSO  Complex Doda.
The camp consisted 100 girls, drawn from 10 zones.
On the occasion, the DYSSO Doda advised the students to enjoy natural beauty at the picturesque place Nalthi in Bhaderwah. He also advised them to be disciplined and obey the orders of teachers/guides, besides adhering to the SOPs amid Covid and avoiding much mobile usage.
DYSSO Jammu, Sukhdev Raj Sharma also flagged off 78-member trekking contingent of Dansal zone in an impressive function from Khel Gaon, Nagrota, today.
The District Officer was accompanied by Zonal Physical Education Officer, Dansal, Veena Tickoo and a galaxy of field staff members of the department.
The five days trekking camp will be held at GHS Kishenpur. The trekkers were advised to take necessary precautionary measures during the camp.
Meanwhile, DYSSO Jammu also inaugurated martial arts inter zone competition in the disciplines of Kickboxing and Pencak Silat in the indoor hall at the same venue.
A total of 43 budding sportspersons took part in the competition to vie for the top honours.
