JAMMU, June 2: District Speedball Championship, organized by the J&K Sports Speedball Association, concluded here today.
The event was graced by chief guest Mohd. Anwaar ul Haq (SSP ANTF J&K), guest of honour Pushpinder Singh Charak (District President BJP), Vice President JKSBA Munish Gupta and District President Tarun Uppal. Vanshika Manhas hosted the event.
The chief guest Mohd Anwaar ul Haq awarded medals to winners and praised the association for engaging youth in speedball. General Secretary Sunny Nanda welcomed guests and highlighted national and international achievements. Matches were officiated by Sandeep Sharma, Amer Kushal, Gurvansh Choudhary, Shivang, Sahil Kaith, Kailash, Vishal Kumar and Anju Devi.
Humanity Public School won the overall championship, with Lawrence Public School as 1st runner-up and Shiksha Niketan School Gandhi Nagar as 2nd runner-up. The biggest team trophy was awarded to Shiksha Niketan School Jeevan Nagar. All winners are selected for the National Speedball Championship. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Secretary Aastha Nanda.
