POONCH, July 15: The District Poonch Taekwondo Association (DPTA) is all set to host the District Poonch Taekwondo Championship 2025 from July 18 to 20 at the Poonch Taekwondo Club Hall. Organized under the aegis of DPTA, the Championship is affiliated with the Taekwondo Association of Jammu & Kashmir and recognized by India Taekwondo, World Taekwondo and the Jammu & Kashmir Olympic Association.
The event was finalized in a meeting chaired by the President and Secretary of DPTA, with a vision to promote martial arts and identify young talent in the region. Competitions will be held across multiple categories: Pee Wee, Sub-Junior, Cadet, Junior and Senior for both boys and girls.
A special opportunity awaits winners in the Senior Category, who will qualify for selection trials for the Senior National Taekwondo Championship 2025, organized by Taekwondo Association of J&K.
The last date for entries is July 17 and no forms will be accepted beyond that. Interested participants must submit their forms with required documents to Toseef Tahir (Mobile: 600729319). The championship promises a platform for local athletes to display skill, discipline and sportsmanship.
