District Police Poonch holds essay writing competition

POONCH, Oct 16: District Police Poonch today conducted essay writing competition on the topic “Our Martyrs; Our Pride” in in the Multipurpose Hall of Degree College here in the memory of police martyrs who gave their supreme sacrifice in the line of duty.
The competition was organised by Azeem Qureshi, DySP DAR and the function was presided over by SSP Poonch, Ramesh K Angral JKPS.
A total of 13 Schools took part in the competition comprising of 52 students.
The result was decided by the jury members which included Shameem Bandey, Mohd Azam, Haroon Rathore and DySP Hqrs Aijaz Bhat.
The winners and other participants were felicitated by the chief guest on the occasion.
Mohd. Hassan Mir ofZia- ul-loom School got first prize, Adnan Ahmad of Govt. Boys School Purani Poonch won second prize and Zeeshan Bashir of Christ school claimed third prize.
Speaking on the occasion, SSP Poonch highlighted the role of police in maintaining peace and order in the society and their supreme sacrifice in the line of duty.
