District Kargil Open Karate C’ship concludes

KARGIL, Aug 18: District Open Karate Championship, organised by Kargil Karate Association, concluded at Indoor Stadium, here today wherein EC Health and Agriculture, Mohsin Ali was the chief guest.
Shehan Namgyal Zochey president Ladakh Karate Association graced the occasion as the guest of honour. EC Mohsin Ali thanked the Kargil Karate Association for their hard work and efforts to promote Karate in Kargil for the last twenty-two years.
He also assured full cooperation and support for KKA in the coming future.
Shehan Namgyal Zochey said that the Association is doing well and has the capacity to organize district as well as State level championships in Ladakh. He also praised the efforts of Sensai Hassan Khan for implementing Karate at the grass root level in the district.
More than 50 students from every nook and corner of Kargil participated in the most awaited championship after COVID pandemic, wherein 36 students (30 Males and 17 Females) got selected for State championship which will be held in Leh soon.
At last Kargil Karate Association thanked all the guests, supporters, sponsors for making the event successful.
