District Bandipora Rugby 7’s Championship concludes

BANDIPORA, Aug 14: The 2nd District Bandipora Rugby 7’s Championship 2014, which was inaugurated by Muzuffar Ahmad Tramboo, District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Bandipora at Govt Boys Higher Secondary School, Nadhihal, concluded here.
250 boys and girls in Sub Junior, Junior and Senior took part in the Championship.
The Championship was organized by District Bandipora Rugby Association under the aegis of J&K Rugby Association and J&K State Sports Council.
Abdul Rashid Malik, Principal, Govt Boys Higher Secondary School, Nadhihal, Bandipora was the chief guest, who distributed prizes among the winners and runners-up teams. Certificates were also distributed on the spot.
Faisal Ali, Chairman, Ali Sports Academy, Bandipora and Irfan Aziz Butta, general secretary, J&K Rugby Association were also present on the concluding ceremony of the Championship.
In Sub Junior boys, Army Goodwill School bagged first place, while Red Bulls Club and Young Star Club claimed second and third spot respectively and in Sub Junior girls, Young Girls Rugby Club and Little Angels Rugby Club won first and second place respectively.
In Junior Boys, Future Vision Club, Government BHS, Nadihal and Govt BHS, Bagh Bandipora bagged first, second and third place respectively, while in Junior girls, Junior Girls Rugby Club and Little Cubs Rugby Club won first and second place respectively.
Ali Sports Academy, Govt BHS Nadihal and Aloosa Tigers Club clinched first, second and third place in Senior Men, while in Senior Women, Tiny Hearts Rugby Club and Little Flowers Rugby Club claimed first and second spot respectively.
