District Athletic Meet concludes at Udhampur

UDHAMPUR, Dec 2: Three days boys and girls District Athletic Meet, organized by District Athletic Association under the ages of J&K Amateur Athletic Association and J&K Sports Council, concluded with prize distribution at Model Higher Secondary School Boys, here today.
Anwar-Ul-Haq, Additional Superintendent of Police Udhampur was the chief guest, while Shahid Naieem DySP and Anuroop Sharma were the guests of honour and Naveen Sharma, Manager Subash Stadium was the special guest.
President of the District Association, Sunil Sharma welcomed the distinguished dignitaries and budding players, while Amit Sharma, general secretary conducted the proceedings of the event.
The meet was organised under the overall supervision of Sanjay Sharma and officials of Youth Services and Sports including Haim Raj, Naveen Sharma, Ravi Singh, Som Dev Khajuria, Raj Kumar Dogra and many others.
In the under-20 shot put girls category, Arushi Sharma, Vanshika and Simran stood 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively, while in boys category, Kamal Preet Singh, Abdul Razak and Vishal Verma bagged top three positions respectively.
In under-14 boys long jump, top three places were secured by Aman Yadav, Vishav Pratap Singh and Adwaith respectively, while in girls category, the top three positions were clinched by Shivali Thakur, Vaishavi Priyasi and Rohini respectively and under-16 boys, Sanironsa, Rohit Singh and Vipan Sharma stood 1st, 2nd and 3rd, besides in under-18 boys, top three places were won by Anish Sadotra, Sachin and Imran.
In under-14 girls 600 mtrs, Roshni Devi, Priyanka Sharma and Renuka Devi won top three places respectively, while in under-18 boys 400 mtrs, Rahul Sharma, Nagachandu and Karbal Singh stood 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively and in under-16 boys 300 mtrs, top three places were secured by Lakshdeep, Raghav Sharma and Adhyan.
In under-16 girls 300 mtrs, Mahak Wazir, Manasvi and Prachi Jandiyal won 1st, 2nd and 3rd places respectively, while in under-16 girls 100 mtrs, top three position were clinched by Soni, Sanjeevni and Divya Kotwal and in under-20 boys 400 mtrs, Kamal Preet Singh, Mohd Shakeel and Asif Ali stood 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively.
