JAMMU, June 4: Director Education, S Ravinder Singh declared open 9th District Speedball Championship 2017, being organized by J&K Sports Speedball Association at Dogra Higher Secondary School ground, here today.
The 0chief guest, Mr Singh was accompanied by SHO Bahu Fort, Bimal Sharma and Gambir Dev Singh Charak as special guests on the occasion.
Around 350 students drawn from 20 schools of Jammu are participating in the event.
The participating schools include Dogra Higher Secondary School, Lord Mahavira Playways School, Little Flowers School, Army Public School, Delhi Public School, St.Paul Convent School, Jammu Sanskriti, New Era Mother School, Lawrence Public School, House Cooperative School, RM Public School, B HM Public School, Puri School, May Fair School, Jodhamal School, Heritage School, G.D Goinka and Nanda Sports Club.
The gold medals went to Adidev Sharma, Keshav Sharma, Ashutosh Bakshi, Suksham Sharma, Atharv Khajuria, Priyanshu, Shivam, Mohd. Shahid, Hazik, Vansh, Gurvansh, Hyan Sharma, Nakul, Amarpreet Singh and Ajay Singh, while the silver medals were bagged by Shivay Mahajan, Aditiya Thakur, Ujjawal Verma, Athrava Gupta, Krish Kumar, Kartavya, Ritesh, Madhur, Raghunandan, Sehaj, Mohd. Fahid, Ritish, Rahil Choudhary and Smohit and the bronze medals were claimewd by Rudra Arora, Jaivansh, Naman Sharma, Rohen Mehra, Sameer, Karan Singh, Ayush Kumar, Anish Kumar, Anshu, Anirubh, Rajan, Ansh, Kavya, Ajay Sharma, Arbaz, Sahil, Manthan Pandooh, Manish, Priyanshu, Jayesh Bhosker, Aditiya, Sajjid Ali, Arpit Singh, Hanish, Shuhul, Danish, Aryan Gupta, and Pranay Gupta.
The matches were officiated by Amit Kour, Manpreet Kour, Asiana Mahajan and Rahul Mennia.
