JAMMU, Jan 28: The ace skater of J&K, Dhanjay Singh Charak brought laurels to the State by winning one silver and one bronze medal under Men’s category in 52nd National Roller Skating Championship held at Virar in Mumbai.
Dhanjay Singh Charak, son of Jasbir Singh Charak, a student of Government College of Engineering and Technology (GCET), Jammu, completed 300 m time trial race in 29.74 seconds and thus broke the previous National record of 29.77 seconds.
Dhanjay has galaxy of medals in his credentials. The last gold medal he had won in 2009 at Faridabad, after which he tried his luck in modeling. He was part of Blenders Pride Fashion Week held at Dehradun.
He also made a maiden entry in Body-Building and had won Mr Jammu Kashmir and Shri Jammu Kashmir titles during the year 2013 and 2014 in his weight category.
