Delhi Club, Jammu Gymkhana, Samar Club, CSO register wins

JAMMU, Mar 26: Delhi Club, Jammu Gymkhana, Samar Club and Christian Sports Organization (CSO) registered convincing victories in the ongoing 2nd Christmas Cup T20 Cricket Tournament, being organized jointly by Range Police Headquarters Jammu and Christian Sports Organization J&K at KC Sports Club ground, here.
Delhi Club trounced B C Srinagar in an easy contest.
Batting first, Delhi Club made a modest total of 110 runs in allotted 16 overs for the loss of 9 wickets. Prince scored 27 runs in 27 balls, while Manoj and Sourav contributed 16 and 14 runs to the total respectively. Ishtiaq took 3 wickets, while Vikram and Abid took 2 wickets each and Subash claimed 1 wicket for BC Srinagar.
In reply, B C Srinagar bundled out for 79 runs in 14.5 overs, thus lost the match by 31 runs. Ishtiaq top scored with 20 runs in 18 balls, while Irfan and Deccar contributed 16 and 12 runs respectively. Abhishek scalped 3 wickets for Delhi Club, while Sachin, Anuj and Adil took 2 wickets each and Pankaj claimed one. Abhishek of Delhi Club was adjudged man of the match.
In another match, Jammu Gymkhana defeated H C Srinagar by 7 wickets. Batting first, HC Srinagar scored 99 runs in allotted 15 overs with Inayat contributing highest 52 runs. Sahil and Amar took 2 wickets, while Akash and Tribuvan took 1 wicket each for Jammu Gymkhana Club.
In reply, Jammu Gymkhana chased the target easily in 13.5 overs for the loss of 3 wickets, thus won the match by 7 wickets. Nipun top scored with unbeaten 62 runs off 48 balls, while Rahul contributed 19 runs.  Bilal took 2 wickets and Inayat one for HC Srinagar. Nipun was declared man of the match.
In another match, Samar Cricket Club beat Star Cricket Club by 50 runs.
Samar Club made 159 runs in allotted 15 overs with Chetan Singh Chib contributing 64 runs in 34 balls and Raman Singh 61 runs in 38 balls. Rakesh took 2 wickets, Imran, Sanjay and Sourav claimed 1 wicket each for Star Cricket Club.
In reply, Star Cricket Club collapsed at 109 in 14.3 overs. Sunil Sambyal chipped in with 17 runs. For Samar Club, Sidhant took 4 wickets, Chetan and Noushad took 2 wickets each, while KK and Monu shared 1 wicket each. Chetan Singh Chib was adjudged man of the match award.
In another match Christian Sports Organization (CSO) defeated H C Srinagar by 3 wickets.
Batting first, HC Srinagar scored 102 runs in allotted 15 overs for the loss of 8 wickets with Inayat 34 runs, Amir 28 and Irfan 12 runs being the main scorers. Neeraj and Sunny took 3 wickets each, while Nitu took 2 wickets for CSO.
In reply, Christian Sports Organization chased the target in 13.2 overs for the loss of 6 wickets, thus won the match by 4 wickets. Danny (35), Anthony (18), Ambroose (14) and Vinod (12) were the main scorers. Bilal took 2 wickets, while Firdous, Ashiq, Amir and Bhasir shared 1 wicket each for HC Srinagar. Danny was declared man of the match for his superb batting.
The matches were officiated by Rajesh Gill, Naresh, Shesshu, Puneet, Sandeep Manchanda, Vinod Kandyara and Suhail Yousuf.
