JAMMU, Mar 26: District Jammu dominated day-1 of the State Hockey Championship 2014, being organized by Hockey J&K and sponsored by J&K State Sports Council at KK Hakhu Astroturf Stadium, here. Earlier, the Tournament was inaugurated by Divisional Sports Officer, Jammu, Rajan Sharma as chief guest in a well attended function, while Gurmeet Singh, HS Chib and Taran Singh were the guests of honour. District Jammu got better of district Srinagar by five goals to nil (5-0) and thrashed district Pulwama by six goals to nil (6-0). In other matches, Kathua blanked Budgam (6-0), while Udhampur prevailed over Anantnag by (6-2). The matches were officiated by Jagjeet Singh, Charanjeet Singh, Karanjeet Singh, JS Reen, Iqbal Singh, Manjeet Singh, Amarjit Singh and Indpal Singh.
