Deepak’s 85 runs help JCC to beat VCC

JAMMU, May 2: Deepak’s unbeaten 85 runs off 74 balls helped Jhelum Cricket Club (JCC) to beat Vinayak Cricket Club (VCC) by 7 wickets in the finals of the KPL Veteran Cup-7, here today.
Deciding to bat first after winning the toss, VCC managed to score 123 runs by losing all wickets in the stipulated 20 overs wherein Rajesh Raina made 33 runs, while Ashok Bazaz scored 25 runs. From the bowling side, Deepak took 3 wickets, while Susheetal and Sunny got 2 wickets each and Kuldeep claimed 1 wicket.
In reply, JCC comfortably chased the target in 18.3 overs by losing only 3 wickets and registered 7 wickets win over VCC. Deepak scored unbeaten quick fire 85 in 74 balls and was adjudged man of the match as well man of the series for his splendid batting and bowling performances.
