DC inaugurates U-19 Inter District Girls’ Kabaddi Tourney

RAJOURI, May 20: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Vikas Kundal inaugurated the long anticipated U-19 Inter District Girls’ Kabaddi Tournament in Mini Stadium, here today.
Assistant Commissioner Revenue (ACR) Imran Kataria, Chief Education Officer (CEO) Sultana Kouser, District Youth Services and Sports Officer (DYSSO) Sunil Singh Samyal and other senior officers from the Physical Education Department were also present.
The Tournament aims to promote women’s sports and foster a spirit of healthy competition, bringing together skilled Kabaddi players from different parts of the district.
During the opening ceremony, the DC engaged in an interactive session with the young students, highlighting the importance of sports activities in holistic education. He emphasized the various benefits of sports, including physical fitness, discipline, teamwork, and resilience among the youth. Encouraging active participation of women in sports, he motivated the young girls to pursue their sporting dreams with determination.
The unwavering support and encouragement from the dignitaries served as a source of inspiration for the participants, motivating them to excel in the Tournament.
