JAMMU, Dec 8: Crossed Swords Division guarding the LoC along the Akhnoor sector, reached out to the local population of remote border area villages and extended its helping hand by shoring up the educational infrastructure of the Primary and Middle schools.
In a significant and much needed resource augmentation of the local Govt Schools, the Army authorities under the aegis of the Crossed Swords Division today gave away sports equipment and water storage tanks for drinking water facility to be utilized by school going children in a total of 19 Govt Primary School and 10 Govt High/ Middle Schools of Jhang, Dager, Talal, Baltod etc.
During the interaction with the school administration and eminent local personnel, the Army authorities reiterated their firm resolve and commitment for improvement of the existing infrastructure of various educational institutions falling under Akhnoor Tehsil, as part of the ongoing project Operation Sadbhavana being undertaken by the Army in the state of Jammu and Kashmir.
Speaking on the occasion,Vijay Kumar Sharma, Principal of Govt Higher Secondary School, Dori Dager appreciated this significant gesture of the Army and expressed his gratitude, for this yeoman’s service by the Army which is beneficial for upliftment and welfare of local population.
