Chinar Primary School celebrates Annual Day

JAMMU, Dec 11: Chinar Primary School, the junior wing of Sainik School Nagrota celebrated its Annual Day at the School Auditorium today.
Colonel Kapil Dev Kaushal, Principal, Sainik School Nagrota & Chairman, Chinar Primary School presided over the function as chief guest and inaugurated the cultural programme by lighting of the lamp.
The chief guest also released the latest edition of the school magazine “Rainbow”.
Poornima Srivastava presented welcome address.
The programme began with ‘Saraswati Vandana’, invoking the blessing of goddess Sarsawati.
Neena Kaushal, Headmistress of the school presented the School Annual report highlighted the infrastructural up-gradation and scholastic and co-scholastic activities introduced in the school with an aim to develop children holistically.
For the first time the colourful programme presented by the young children of the school was based on the theme “Children World” which aptly included items such as Dances Dreams, Children World of Imagination, Sha La La, Himachali Folk Dance, Think Like Me-Be Like Me (Skit) and Punjabi Blast (Bhangra/Giddha).
The Cock-house trophy for the session 2015 was presented to Tagore House.
Speaking on this occasion, the chief guest Colonel Kapil Dev Kaushal emphasized on the role of teachers as well as parents in developing all round personality of children.
The programme culminated with vote of thanks presented by Sunita Dembi, followed by National Anthem.
