Chak Rakwala Leopards outplays Majheen Sidhra Stars to enter finals

BAJALTA, Apr 7: In the first semi-final of Maruti Suzuki Nagrota Premier League Tournament, an initiative of MLA Devender Singh Rana, Chak Rakwala Leopards today defeated Majheen Sidhra Stars and sealed berth in the finals.
Earlier, winning the toss at Bajalta Playfield in the Nagrota Assembly Constituency, Chak Rakwala decided to bat first and scored a decent total of 178 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs. Gourav and Madan contributed 44 and 24 runs to the total respectively.
In reply, Majheen Sidhra Stars managed to score 147 runs after losing 9 wickets in the allotted 20 overs, thus lost the match by 31 runs. Reyaz scored quick-fire 57 runs and remained not out from Majheen Sidhra Stars. Gourav was declared as man of the match for his all-round performance of 44 runs and 3 wickets.
The match was officiated by Saleem-ur-Rehman and Sadiq Hussain Malik from the Department of Youth Services and Sports, J&K.
The matches were played under the overall supervision of Faheem Tak, vice president Take-1 Channel and Kuldeep Singh Jamwal, Member Organizing Committee.
Member BCCI, Ranjeet Kalra was also present on the occasion and witnessed the match.
The second semifinal will be played on April 8, 2016 between Nagrota Young Stars Eagles and Kapotha Lions.
