DODA, May 20: Combine Cricket Club (CCC) Bhaderwah registered a resounding victory over Royal Challengers Cricket Club (RCCC) Doda by 96 runs in the ongoing All India 11th Gufran Memorial T20 Cricket Championship 2015 played at Sports Stadium, here.
The tournament is being organized by Young Star Cricket Club Doda and sponsored by Rashtriya Rifles Bn Doda, J&K Bank and Natnoo Furnishing House Doda.
Earlier, winning the toss and batting first, CCC Bhaderwah scored a mammoth total of 193 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in stipulated 20 overs. Zaheer was the top scorer with 36 runs, while Touseef contributed 34 runs to the total. For RCCC Doda, Zahid clinched 2 wickets, while Jaffer and Babar shared 1 wicket each.
In reply, RCCC Doda failed to chase the target and got bundled out for a paltry total of 97 runs in 12.1 overs, thus lost the match by a big margin of 96 runs. Deepak and Anureet contributed with 19 runs each. For CCC Bhaderwah, Raman was the most successful bowler who scalped 4 important wickets while Rajid took 2 wickets. Raman of CCC Bhaderwah was declared as man of the match for his superb bowling performance who was given a prize by general secretary YSCC Doda, Faizan Ali Tramboo.
The match was officiated by Munish Jotshi and Ayush Sharma as umpires, while Salinder Singh Bhaduria acted as a scorer.
