Valedictory function of ‘Display Your Talent’ tomorrow

JAMMU, Sept 25: One Act Play Competition was conducted on the 11th day of ongoing ‘Rang Trang-Display Your Talent’, being organized by the Department of Students Welfare, University of Jammu at Brigadier Rajinder Singh auditorium, University of Jammu, here.
In One Act Play, the team of The Business School JU stood first. GCW Parade was declared second and GDC Akhnoor secured third position. In Individual category, the best actor and actress awards were awarded to Shubham and Sehar (First) both from The Business School, JU, Arun Sharma from GDC, Akhnoor and Tania Sharma from GCW, Parade (second) and Yashodhan Sharma from The Business School and Aarti from GDC, Kathua (third).
Certificates of Merit in individual category were awarded to Jhanvi Sharma from GCW Parade, Pooja Sharma from GDC Kathua, Nisha from GDC Udhampur, Vikramjeet Singh from The Business School, JU and Balpreet Kaur from The Law School, JU.
Prof Sunita Dhir, Deepak Kumar and Adheesh Kumar comprised the jury and Dr Jaspal Singh was the Teacher Incharge of the event.
Prof Jasbir Singh, Dean Students Welfare, Prof Yash Pal Sharma, Chairman, Campus Cultural Committee, Prof Anupama Vohra, Co-Chairperson, Campus Cultural Committee, Dr Garima Gupta, Assistant Dean (SW), faculty members, students and scholars were present during the event.
The event was coordinated by Mansi Mantoo (Media Officer), Ifra Kak (Cultural Officer) and Sumeet Sharma (Drama Instructor).
Vaishali, Vrinda, Irfan, Anup, Amogh, Meenakshi, Mehul and Alisha looked after the hall management. The sound was operated by Kulbhushan Thakur and Arif Paul.
The events of Classical Dance and Elocution would be conducted tomorrow from 10 am onwards at Brigadier Rajinder Singh auditorium, University of Jammu.
The winners of the first positions would be awarded at the valedictory function of Display Your Talent on September 27 at General Zorawar Singh auditorium at 3 pm.
