Burn Hall School lifts CRPF Football Cup

SRINAGAR, Sept 16 : Chief Minister Omar Abdullah this evening gave prizes on the conclusion of finale of CRPF Football Cup played between Burn Hall School and Polo View Football Club.
The Burn Hall School Team won the trophy by beating Polo view Football Club by a solitary goal.
Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) conducted tournament 2012 at Bakshi Stadium here today.
The winner team was awarded Rs. 25000/- with trophy and runner up team was awarded Rs. 15000/- with runner up trophy. All participant teams were given full football kits and all officials were also awarded.
Sports Minister was also present on the occasion with Anirudh Uppal, Addl.D.G, CRPF and Sudhir Pratap Singh , IG /CRPF. The tournament was conducted with aim to promote Football among youth of Srinagar and also to give them a chance to hone their talent.
In 2011 CRPF also conducted Football tournament in various places including down town, Srinagar. CRPF has also been instrumental to conduct various activities including sports for entertainment of youth and their development.
