BSF Kashmir drubs GNNHC by 4-3

JAMMU, Jan 11: BSF Kashmir defeated Guru Nanak Nagar Hockey Club (GNNHC) in a close contest by four goals to three (4-3) to advance in the ongoing District Jammu Senior Hockey Tournament, being organized by Hockey J&K at KK Hakhu Astroturf Hockey Stadium, here.
For BSF Kashmir, Gurjeet Singh scored the first and the 4th goal in 2nd and 50th minutes, while the second and third goals were scored by Rajinder Kumar and Kuldeep Ikka in 15th and 29th minutes respectively.
The goal scorers for Nanak Nagar Hockey Club were Mandeep Singh, who netted the first goal in 29th minute and Sikander Pal Singh who scored the other two goals in 56th and 59th minutes of the match.
From Pool A, Khalsa Club Gole Gujral and 20- Punjab have qualified for the semifinals, while BSF Kashmir qualified for the semifinals of the Tournament from Pool B today.
The matches were officiated by Charanjeet Singh, Karanjeet Singh, Gurjeet Singh, Kulwant Singh and Gurmeet Singh, while the Tournament is being held under the supervision of GS Bakshi, general secretary of Hockey J&K.
In tomorrow’s fixture, MBS Simbal Camp will take on Guru Nanak Nagar Hockey Club at 2 pm.
