JAMMU, Dec 11: Border Security Forces (BSF) Frontier Jammu team emerged winners and lifted the Inter-Frontier Handball Championship title, held at STC BSF Indore, Madhya Pradesh, recently.
In the final match, Jammu Frontier team defeated Tripura Frontier team by 29-25 to lift the trophy. The trophy and medals were presented by IG CSWT BSF Indore, Ashok Kumar Yadav to the winning team.
Congratulating the team, DK Boora IG BSF Jammu Frontier said that this Frontier has always laid emphasis on physical fitness and participation in all types of team sport events. Besides performing duties in challenging conditions on the border, the troops are encouraged to excel in sports too, he said and added that talent is spotted among new recruits and they are being trained regularly to make their mark in the sports.
