JAMMU, June 4: A book distribution drive benefiting 25-30 underprivileged students was held at KK Hakku Stadium, Jammu, aimed at promoting education alongside sports. The event was organized by Rajiv Sharma, Member, J&K Sports Council, who has been at the forefront of community welfare.
Aman Sharma, High Performance Director, Sports Authority of India (SAI), attended as the chief guest, while Dr. Taran Singh, general secretary of Hockey J&K, was the guest of honour and was also felicitated for his recent appointment.
The event was also attended by several notable figures: Gurmeet Singh (Retd. Managing Director, PDC), Satpaul Singh (Divisional Sports Officer, J&K Sports Council), Ajay Gupta (Manager, KK Hakku Stadium), Ritika Slathia (Incharge, Indoor Stadium Bhagwati Nagar), Vikas Mangotra (Incharge, Football Ground Science College), Pawandeep Kour (Athletics Coach), Jagjeet Singh (Hockey Coach), Janak Singh (Veteran Hockey Player), Shelav Sharma (Executive Member, Hockey J&K) and Taranjeet Singh (Member, Hockey Bandhu Rakh).
